Since 2011, Dwight D. Sullivan has proudly served as the Galveston County Clerk, bringing years of experience, integrity, and dedication to public service.

A graduate of Texas Tech University with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Business Administration (MBA), Dwight’s career has been built on a strong foundation of leadership and accountability. Before his election as County Clerk, he served more than nine years as Assistant County Treasurer, gaining valuable expertise in county administration and financial management.

Beyond his official duties, Dwight is an active member of the Galveston County community. He has served on numerous boards and organizations, including the UTMB Children’s Hospital Advisory Board, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Clear Springs High School Men’s Golf Booster Club, Galveston Kiwanis Board, and the Houston-Galveston Area Council Loan Development Committee. He also served as Treasurer and Board Member for the FBI Infragard – Houston Chapter, supporting collaboration between law enforcement and the private sector.

A man of faith, Dwight is a proud member of the Knights of Columbus at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in League City. He and his team also launched the Helping Hands initiative through the County Clerk’s Office—a holiday gift drive that unites the community each Christmas to share joy and generosity with local families.

His deep commitment to service, community, and family continues to make him a respected and trusted leader in Galveston County.
